Shaddad bin Aus (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
A wise man is that who calls himself to account (and refrains from doing evil deeds) and do noble deeds to benefit him after death. A weak is that who subdues himself to his temptations and desires and seeks from Allah the fulfillment of his vain desires.

Lessons Deduced
1. A wise person is that who calls himself to account and do noble deeds to benefit him after death.
2. A weak person is he who lives heedlessly, undertakes no good acts, yet, seeks from Allah the fulfillment of his vain desires.
3. One should always control himself, suppress his desires, perform religious duties, abstain from relying on vain desires, and never be deceived by illusions for Allah rewards people for their actions not for their desires.
