I dont know whether this thread is directed to me, anyways the answer to your question is this, depends what crimes are committed. And what a person is preaching.

I suggest you read about what happened to Musaylama the liar, those who refused to pay Zakah etc at the time of the four rightly guided caliphs (Khulafa ‘Rashideen).....I think by doing this you would get your answer.

So like i said before depends on what a person is preaching etc.
