Bismillah
As salam alaikum
When I first started reading the Qur'an, I was struck by how the prophets that I knew were discussed at great length, especially Moses and Jesus. These two prophets are talked about more than Muhammad in the Qur'an. I thought how odd it would be for someone who was trying to invent a new religion to include and praise other people's prophets so much. I thought it was odd especially since, the prophet would have had more powerful followers quicker if he praised the idols of the Quraish. If Muhammad made up the Qur'an, which I later discovered to be impossible, why would he choose the Abrahamic faiths to pattern his religion after if so few of these people were actually in the area.
I also like the point that my sister mentioned about Muhammad recieving admontion from Allah in the Qur'an. And he had to tell on himself! Would any of us be able to tell others the verses that talked about our mistakes? Yet Rasul-Ullah did it without hesitation in order to fulfill his prophethood and out of fear of Allah's punishment. As was mentioned, Muhammad was not exempt from hellfire if he did not do what was necessary of him.
That is another thing I love about our prophet. He actually deserves the place he is in. He struggled, fought, was patient, charitable, kind, the list goes on. Examining his life, one sees what a truly special man he was.
Jazak Allah Okhti for your perserverance in educating and informing.
