Bismillah
As salam alaikum.
I was trying to provide the shortest summary possible so I had to leave some parts out.
What I find interesting about this story for myself is that my blood begins to boil with the urge to go out in the cause of Allah. Insha'Allah, as a believer glowing with iman and true purpose. A muslim man going to fulfill his duty to Allah. Reading this account, I could almost feel the hilt in my hand, avenging the innocent blood of the masacured muslims ninety years earlier.
I also find it very notable that Salahuldeen treated the nonmuslims in a more merciful manner than the other nonmuslims when the christians left Jeresulem.
After reading this story, I made du'a that Allah will raise the ummah back up to the level that our deen will hold us if only we would follow it. O Allah bind the believers together as they were bonded before. Bonded together in a brotherhood and sisterhood, that due to the subservience to You will only lead to victory and paradise.
As salam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu
