I'm not looking for anything specific, just a general idea of what Islam is and why people follow it, what type of person follows it.

Now, obviously I am not going to read the entire Qu'ran but I do reference it and the Hadiths and I have an interest in the history of Islam and Mohammad. just a wee hobby of mine. Hey, are Muslims allowed a hobby ?
