Bismillah
As salam Alaikum
I appreciate my fellow muslims responce. I agree with you Sr. Jennifer. Remember who was the first person to embrace Islam upon Rasulullah recieving revelation? Khadijah gave great support and encouragement to our beloved prophet. It was she who had to convince him saws that he was not crazy and should do as Allah has commanded him. Another good part to getting sisiters involved is that they can talk to their husbands where it matters most... at home. A brother cannot continue a conversation if he is not invited to come over whereas the wife can pursue the subject constantly with her husband and in the best of manners since she probably knows him best.
Unfortunately, I do not have access to sisters. Brothers that I know well are of the opinion that delaying is okay. My wife is also not sure she even wants to be a muslim which is a whole other jihad that I am dealing with because she is either muslim or we are not married. I know that I can be with a monotheistic nonmuslim but it is not what is best for my deen. I have told Allah I would give it all up for Him and I will Insha'Allah.
Anyway, I appreciate the encouragement and Insha'Allah will pursue the matter more dilegently. Br. Todd your message warms my heart and helps my iman. Insha'Allah if we do not meet in this life, Allah will allow us to recognize one another in Paradise where we will not have to worry about all this.
Jazakum Allah Khair for helping me feel the bonds of Islam through this board.
