My understanding of names is that names should have a good meaning, which the article points out. But one thing I could never understand is people who convert and the first thing they do is change their name to an Arab one, when they already had a a name with a beautiful meaning. I don't see this as imitation of the non-Muslims. David and Joseph are both Prophet's names (Dawud and Yusef) and those are some of the names that are supposed to be the best to chose for a new child.
