I am very frustrated and disapointed and I would like to share why so that perhaps we can find a solution.
I posted this topic so that I could hear the other side of the Palestinian/Isralei story. I have grown up listening to the American version and now I want the non-American version. I feel that this is the only way for me to achive a well-rounded view of what is going on.
However, now that you have arrived, PhatMonkey, you have dominated this discussion and I feel as if you are trying to bully me into accepting only your views and to ignore eveyone else's.
I did not post this topic to get into arguments or debates or fights. Up until you arrived I found every post to be offered peacefully and open ended: I had the freedom to agree or disagree without being insulted and persecuted or having my posts picked apart line-by-line and responded to with superiority and sarcasm.
If I agree with the non-American versions you claim that I am listening to "biased" posts.
If I point out what you are doing or saying, you claim that I am putting words in your mouth and then continue to be very rude and condecending towards me.
If I attempt to share my opinions so that others may offer me their own, you accuse me of making "unfounded rants".
Then you write long sarcastic posts where you accuse me of being uneducated and then you claim that you "must correct" my so-called unfounded rants "one by one" and tell me to "slow down in the future".
What makes you think that YOU and you alone have all of the answers and that you "must" correct me? Why do you assume that YOUR version of the story is the only one? Why do you come here and dominate this topic and turn it into a hostile environment? I do no appreciate this one bit. Please stop attempting to force your opinions upon me. You've made your point, I've seen your opinions, now it's time to please let me move on to other opinions.
I would like to ask that you please allow this topic to continue on the peaceful path that it originally led. I was receiving very good information and imput from non-American as well as American muslims on both sides of the world. I would like to continue in this fashion.
I am extending the olive branch and asking for peace. Will you allow it please?
Thank you very much.
I would like to continue hearing from as many people as possible about this subject so that I may see and understand what is going on beyond the American "point of view". This is the only way that we Americans will come to know the full truth of what is taking place.
