Salamu Aylkum Wal Ra7ma,
Ma sha Allah wa Alhamdulillah on all the replies and posts on this subject. It is true that more and more of our brothers and sisters are making the courageous step of marrying a man or woman from an outside culture or race, espeacially a man or women who is a convert.
Though we could all continue to make assumptions, read on research and surveys and comment on the pros and cons of interracial marriages; i believe it is from the utmost importance for us to realize that we are not talking about a recipe for eggs here, we are talking about the most sacred steps a human takes in his or her small life. I have seen many replies discussing the matter from point of view, and May Allah bless you for it, but believe me my brothers and sisters, if you truely wish to hear the truth on interracial marriages, you must ask those who have experienced it through themselves or direct family.
I am sure anyone who has been or is married to another race or culture can understand when i say how difficult it is on the soul. This is the only reason i can give you for how some may not comprehend it;it is heavy on a persons soul, not mental not physical. Yet, forget my simple contributuion, i was never to good at explaining my experiences so, i ask those who have first hand experiences to speak up and for the rest of us to widen a path for them , for we truely are in need of what they have to say.
Thankyou,
