Assalamo Alikum,
'AlShamms'
I did not watch the video because most of the time I am in China and Youtube and all ‘cool’ websites have been blocked here, but I do have an idea about the topic itself and that’s why I jumped in to offer some answers.
Quoting the Bible is just a natural reaction for me, no tactics or anything intended. I only wanted you or anyone who has got a problem with the teaching of Islam to reflect over his own problem first before trying to find faults in others’.
Now coming back to the topic which is bothering you alot. I am going to watch that video tomorrow or day after when I go to Hong Kong City insh a Allah and will revert back to you with more answers and comments. But meanwhile, according to qualified scholars (
yes qualified
) they allowed women who were abused and beaten by their husbands to seek divorce and to leave the house and go to their family for protection. However, the beating that I have explained earlier only applies to those
NASHEZ
wives and not to the humble, religious, and obedient ones, and it is only to be done with the intention of saving the marriage.
