Bismillah: Assalamo Alikum,
<b>'AlShamms'</b>
Quote:is the man correct in his understanding of Qur'an and the command to terrorize as he explained it?
During wars, yes he was correct.
Allah says:
'Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steels of war, to strike terror into (the heart of) the enemies of Allah and your enemies.....' Qur'an 8:60
But if they show no enmity? Allah says:
'But if the enemy incline towards peace, do you (also) incline towards peace, and trust in Allah, for He is the One that hears and knows (all things). Qur'an 8:61
Quote:who classifies as a disbeliever? The person who attacks the muslim first, or any person not confessing a belief in al'ilah and Muhammad as his messenger?
I am not really clear about this question, sorry.
Quote:Third, is the Qur'an clear on who is the enemy, who is not, and how this enemy should be dealt with?
Yes of course.
We have got two enemies:
Satan is number one, and second is anyone who fight us on the account of our religion, In this case we may fight him back in self-defense. (references from the Qur'an are available on request insh a Allah).
I hope this answer your questions and i hope someone correct me if i was wrong.
Salam
Wael.
