Good morning.....
Surah 5:14 says: "they have abandoned a good part of the Message that was sent to them." According to Islam, Muhammad and Qur'an were sent to the Chrisitans as well. Is this the "good part of the message" that Christians abandoned? Or is this speaking of parts of the gospel?
Surah 2:87-90 says: "And when there came to them (the Jews), a Book (this Quran) from Allah confirming what is with them [the Torah and the Gospel]" again this seems aimed at the Jews.
Quote:do you find this in your modern Bible AlShamms?? if no then Bible is tampered with.
Are you asking if I find any mention of Muhammad in the Bible? And if I don't that means the Bible has been tampered with?
Quote:King James (New version) means there was an old version, children bible, bible of the Protestant church...etc. One may go bible shopping and find difficulty in finding two identical versions. Calling it a version per se indicates several copies which certainly are different. What does this mean to you anyway?????
Well in terms of the King James, the first "version" was released in 1611, in the language of the day. An example of a verse looks like this:
John 3:16
(16) For God so loued ye world, that he gaue his only begotten Sonne: that whosoeuer beleeueth in him, should not perish, but haue euerlasting life.
As time went on, that type of language became archaic so the NKJV was produced. An example of a verse looks like this:
John 3:16
(16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
While the nuances in the english language change, those changes do not change the meaning of the verse.
Personally when studying, I use the Amplified Bible.
John 3:16
(16) For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
I'm partial to this version because it expounds on the language, providing definition to give the verse expanded meaning.
