Bismillah: Assalamo Alikum...
And that's why Allah forbade only the consumption of intoxicants and not just Alcohol. For example, eating orange is permitted in Islam and yet it it does contain Alcohol, however, if you multiplies the amount of Alcohol found in orange and consumed it, you won't get drunk, but on the other hand, drinking a glass of wine won't do much of anything, but drinking multiple glasses gets you drunk, and that's why even one drop of it is also forbidden.
Allah does not only states that we should not 'drink' intoxicants, but to avoid them all together, and that includes even buying it for someone else while you have no plans whatsoever to drink it. because if you don't plan to drink it, that doesn't mean you wont, but if you don't possess it, then you can't drink it at all, so all options are closed.
So Alhamdulelah for Islam.
