Kissing Quran
#12

Bismillah

Karbala, I realise you havent addressed my post, not sure if u read it. I also understand your point of trying to evade the lable Bidaa. Actually, I tried to avoid it as well, there is a trend of really expanding on calling things bidaa and this is serious. But on the other hand, we also need to be very careful not to turn away from the original direction and main focus. As I said, what would passing under the Quran do, or let alone benefit a soldier before a battle. Let me bring another example. In some countries, i m sure Pakistan is one, people may write an Ayah or so, wrapp it in a piece of cloth and wear under their garments as a form of protection, evil deterrance..etc. (Taweedth), is this what Quran is for? certainly not. The Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam never told us to write Quran and wear it, but rather to recite it for protection.

This is the main point, we just fear that such acts may expand to actually superced the real purpose of having this glorious book. Such acts may gain more importance, if encouraged, over the main purpose. To the best of my knowledge and to my humble understanding, this is the point behind not encouraging such acts.

Wallahu A`lam.
