How does anyone fall for the Israeli state propaganda line about the Qassam rockets? Here is a transcript (not official but my own) of a BBC radio 4 program with BBC presenter Sara Montague interviewing the Israeli Ambassador to the UK Ron Praser.
"Ron Praser: What can a country do? What can we do when we go out of Gaza, leave Gaza completely and this is turned into a launching pad. So anything that would suggest......Look we are dealing with an organisation that does not want to make peace It has no interest in making peace with Israel.
Sarah Montague: Ambassador be fair, there was a ceasefire a 6 month ceasefire, Israel always quotes this there were rockets hundreds of rockets and mortar shells and according to BBC records 362 rockets and shells were fired during that 6 month period. But more than 320 of those were after November 4th when Israeli forces went into Gaza and killed 6 palestinians. It was Hamas that saw Israel as violating the ceasefire first."

Not to mention that Israel never lifted the blockade of Gaza as per the ceasefire terms.
I think the situation requires us to look at the bigger picture. We can go on forever list our grievances about Israeli or Palestinian actions. Fact of the matter is until there is a viable Palestinian state and return of the hundreds and thousands of Palestinian refugees there will be no peace.
