Bismillah: Assalamo ALikum.
Quote:Peace...
Wael, you sound as if you have read these stories before. And how does the man know how you will react? Why would you react any type of way if you are already familiar with what the Bible says?
Welcome back ASshams... :)
Yes AlShamms, I've red those stories and actually I've got my "<b>COLORED BIBLE</b>" where I’ve circled those verses and written a warning on the outer cover that "<b>This book contains adult elements and obscene words, please keep it away from the hands of our children"</b>"
Anyway, reading those types of stories in my native language will be totally different, you know. no matter how many languages you may speak, still your favorite language would be your mother tongue, and so I would like to read what Christians describes as being "God's word" in my native language.. That man from USA knows how am I going to feel being an Arab by reading the book of Ezekiel chapter 23, or Genesis 19:30 (those are but 2 examples)...Anyways...the intention of purchasing an Arabic Bible is not only for reading those stories, the Bible is also full of wonderful narrations that go hand in hand with Islam, and so I would also love to read those stories in Arabic.
Salam
Wael.
