Quote:For the last few days I have been seeing the American political process firsthand as part of a delegation of women from the Middle East organized by American University and the US State Department. We started by meeting with President George W. Bush, but since that time, we have been traveling across the country in the time running up to election day. What we have seen is truly an inspiration and an eye-opener about the potential for participatory democracy in our part of the world.
In the Arab world, limited elections, however, hardly give one a taste of the incredible power of democracy as it is practiced in the United States...

reepi, i read the article, okay so what, she was talking about Arabs, middle east and not Muslims, she never mention the word Muslims or Islam, she said Arabs and Arab countries, and don't forget in the middle east there is Israel also. to your knowledge(and I am sure that u know that), our Arab countries are not ruling by Islam, and most of our rulers were put there by the British rulers in the early 1900's and by Americans in the late 1900's so if the Arab world is suffering now, because YOUR
rulers want this to happen, because YOUR
rulers don't want the Islamic ruling because The True Islamic ruling will give just to people, and weaken the empowerment of your rulers over poor needles countries. The Bush administration and even the ones before or the ones to come are waging war against Islam and Muslims and want to implement the false so called democracy by force in our Islamic and Arab countries, millions were killed during the process, whether from our countries or the Americans themselves, what a waste of human souls in the name of democracy.
Now again you are going out of the main subject of this topic, which has nothing to do with the voting for the American President. So I hope you will stop hijacking posts like other members, this thread is to show the permissibility for Muslims to vote for American president or not, and not comparing between democracy in your country and ours. Did I make myself clear enough <_<
Omar Alkhatab Said, may Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'la be pleased with him said: We are a nation that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'la granted us high esteem by Islam, and whenever we take other than Islam as a ruling for us Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'la will disgrace us
