Bismillah
You are correct Dan, Sobhan Allah, this comment came next day to me commenting on a dress she wore, Alhamdulelah doing it in the most proper manner as possible. And actually I took this comment to further explain to her, I told her whether or not we like it, those like us who work with foreigners are ambassadors to Islam, that we must not at any moment forget we are Muslim women, we behave like this because we are Muslimahs. But actually Dan, this style is quite prevailing here unfortunately. We try, but they are sooooo split between knowing what is correct and the surrounding fitnah. I told her, Allah Put this man in her way to coin down a point, hope she takes it in consideration. I doubt that someone spoke to her before. This issue actually is soo vast, I can elaborate on it. In some cases, women tend to loose the core of interest in the Muslimah's dress code, that they only and merely cover their hair, but with bright, sometimes embroided, or with glitter..etc, tight clothes and full make up. I always joke around with them saying Oo Did Allah Say in Quran and do not make your adornment apparent except the lip stick that so and so wears....Certainly they get the message, but still continue. And as u know, our role is to saw the seed and just go, not to push further in order to attain personal credit. And what I mean by saying you are correct is that probably no one ever commented on her appearence. You know why? because this -as I explained- became a norm, I wont say the norm, but a norm, I mean majority in her age are dressed up similarly, leave alone hijab fashion and Oo, there is a garment store close to my house named cool hijab!! can you believe it. Yes cool Hijabi in English. Well, Egypt Land of Wonders!!!!
