Quote:Oh, and did you catch the the part when she embraced the kuffr in a hug ? Grounds for a stoning in some parts of the muslim world.
You don't think thats going over the top? I wonder if you've been reading the same JohnDoe as I have? I don't think that it is "merely pointed out as being inappropriate and accurately so."
The hug was incorrect, no one is justifying it but the response should be proportional. The Prophet(saw) taught the man who was urinating in the mosque in a manner that preserved his dignity.
Theres a similar story involving the Prophets Grandsons Hassan and Hussain. They saw a man performing Wudu' by starting with his feet. They didn't rush in and condemn the man! If you want to know what they did read: http://www.geocities.com/mutmainaa/kids/..._wudu.html
Just an example, but have you heard of Nilofar Bakhtiar? She was a Pakistani Tourism Minister who hugged a man in euphoria after completing a parachute jump. The reaction from a certain muslim group was to pass a fatwa declaring she had committed a "major sin" and should be removed from office. She received death threats and was intimidated to the point where she resigned only for her resignation to be rejected.
Does any of the above sound reasonable to you? Im just saying the sister in the video went through alot of trouble to highlight the plight of muslim women, rather than passing fatwas against her which some muslim groups seem to do with ease.....rather focus on the amazing job she did
