The link is not working, but any way, is this the case of the married woman who was raped after been taken for her male companion (who was not her husband)??
If this is the case, and she was pardoned, to me, the king should not violate Allah's law to please the world. The reason she was convicted is not because she was the cause for her rape, but rather she is a married woman who was in the company of a male stranger. She was not found in an intercourse situation, thus, she cannt be charged with Zina. I wonder if the same penalty was applied for her male companion.
