Quote:Karbala is extremely sacred. Hajj???? hajj can only be performed in Mecca (obvious no?).

Alright let me paraphrase my question, and I hope you be straightforward about it. For example, in the papers this year, a picture was published for Shia Hajjis who are performing Salat in Karbala before leaving for Haj.
Again you replied it is extremely sacred. Now how sacred is sacred, I mean what exactly this position entail for a shia? what are the consequent obligations? I cannt think of a better explanation to my question. Hope it is clear.[/color]
Taqiyya is only performed when ones life is in danger. Hence in hajj or anywhere else Shi'a will only use Taqiyya if they feel theyre in danger.
<b>This is not what i meant, let us take things step by step.
