Quote:Salaam Brothers and Sister

I pray to Allah that may he bless you and bring peace within you. and May Allah forgive me for the GREAT sins that i have commited and that he may grant me heaven one day inshallah.

my brothers and sister i want to know when praying do you have to wear a hat or can you pray with out a hat.

It is not obligatory on the Muslim man to wear a hat during prayers, if he wish to wear it for Allah's sake, he might gain rewards, but if he doesn't, then there is no harm.

Most important is what i've red on IslamOnline.net regarding covering up your forhead during Sujood is that:

whatever you wear on your head should not separate your head from the floor, except for reasons of heat and you use something to cover your head and face from the heat. This is a valid excuse, in general though, you can not have anything over your forehead when you make sujud.

and Allah knows best.

Salam

Wael.
