Peace.....
Hadji, I'm not surprised that you don't see the connection.
(1 Corinthians 1:22-24)
(22) For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
(23) But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
(24) But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
(1 Corinthians 2:14) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
It's something that has to be revealed to you. But since the question was asked, I answered.
In as far as the Catholics go, their idea of "transubstantiation", meaning the bread and wine becoming the literal body and blood of Christ is heresy and has no grounding in scripture....just more paganism that they've added to their religion. But that is a conversation for another day.
