Actually, I mailed the Egyptian Fatwa committe on this site and they emailed me back with the reply. Thus, I gues this should be a Hanafi based opinion.

Assalamualaikum wa RahmatULLAH sister,


Is this the same as Al-Azhar University? I am not sure whether to trust their (Jamia' Al-Azhar's) fatwas as I have heard they have given fatwas that legalize ribaa'!


Also, I think the need is to identify the Quranic or sunnah-based information on this matter. Is there any AYAH or HADITH-e-NABWI (SAAW) that prohibits the consumption of animals that have fed on other animals/meat?
