Glory to God, peace on earth, good will to all.
If I may, I'd just like to point out a few things...
Quote:4. If the Father and His Son were both in "existence" from the Day One, and no one was, a micro second before or after, and, no one was "greater or lesser" in status, than why is one called the Father and the other His begotten Son?
5. Did the act of "Begetting" take place? If YES, where was the "Begotten Son" before the act? If NO, why call him the "Begotten Son"?
We profess that the Son is eternally begotten of the Father. There was not a time that He was not. Eternity transcends time, so does Heaven.
The mystery of God is that He's a communion of Persons, not a solitude, which is why He doesn't rely on creatures to exist (master/slave relationship). The Father generates the Son through Love (Holy Spirit). I could go on & on but it's clear that you're not really interested.
Quote:"And Peter said to them, `Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins;...'" (Acts 2:38). It is most unlikely that apostle Peter would have disobeyed the specific command of Jesus Christ for baptising in the three names and baptized them in the name of Jesus Christ, alone.
No where throughout history was anyone baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ & not the Most Holy Trinity. St Peter is making a distinction between the baptism that St John the Baptist preached & the Sacrament of Baptism that Christ instituted.
Quote:Notwithstanding the above rejections, the verse that follows the quoted text reads in KJV; "And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood; and these three agree in one." (1John5:8). Are these three witnesses "co-equal"? Can blood be substituted with water? Can water be regarded as the same in any respect with the Spirit? Just as the spirit, the blood and the water are three separate entities, so are the first three witnesses, namely; the Father, the Son (Word, Logos) and the Holy Spirit (Ghost).
On the Cross both blood & water gushed forth from Jesus' side... bringing about new life (blood) cleansed of sin (water). It is a reference to Christ's Divinity. "Witness" is used in a more broader sense. "The Holy Spirit makes us adoptive sons of God; the water of the sacred font cleanses us; the blood of the Lord redeems us; the spiritual sacrament gives us a dual witness, one visible, one invisible." Praise be to God always. Tears are flowing down my face. I can't even begin to tell you how beautiful Christianity is. I just love it!!!
Quote:Oh really ?
OOPS !
Please forgive me for saying this, but it just goes to show why Islam's the fastest growing religion in the world.
God bless.
