That's an understatement, believe me ;) I don't have a definitive stance in regards to women in Islam because I've yet to be completely informed on all gender related issues of your faith, but after years of studying Catholicism - (please don't attack, this is simply my opinion) - I've concluded that the Holy Bible in collaboration with Holy Mother Church, are the sole defenders of woman's dignity... always have been & always will be. Alhamdulilah!
