al- Qadr linguisticly means Pre-decree or pre-ordainment
I'll try to simplify this matter for all of us including the non-muslims on this forum and it is not to take away anything which was already said. And the intention is only seeking Allah's pleasure and hopefully guiding some soul to the deen of Islam which clarifies all matters of our exsistence.
From the attributes of Allah is that He does whatever He wants. Nothing comes to past, except by His desire (Iraadah) And nothing escapes His will(masheeah) There is nothing in this world that escapes from His pre-ordainment(Taqdeer) And nothing comes to past without His Administration(tadbeer). No one can go around the Preordainment(Qadr) which has been recorded for them.nor can anyone transgress the limits of what has been decreed for him or her in a writen tablet called(Al-Lawh-ul-Mahfoodh) He wills all that the creation does. Had He made us infalible, We would not disobey Him. He created the creation and their actions, And He preordained their provisions and lifespands. He guides whom he wills by His Wisdom.
See The Noble Qur'an for these proofs:
21:23
54:49
25:2
57:226:125
and there are several hadeeth which affirms these beliefs .
There are four aspects the Muslims must believe in regarding Qadr
1 al- Ilm- Allah has knowledge of all matters
2 Al-kitaabah-Allah wrote all matters perserved with Him
3al- mashee'ah- Allah willed everything before it happened
4al-khaq- Allah created everything I love to simlify matters I hope this was good for you'all May Allah guide to the beliefs which are correct upon the way of the best generations... amen
