Bismillah:
Assalamo Alikum FHC and thanks for asking me again about my religion. :)
Quote:What does "repent" entail? Must we wait until Judgement Day to find out if the sins we've confess to Allah have been forgiven?
Repentance has its own conditions that you need to fulfill in order to be forgiven. First, you need to admit your guilt and this is obvious in your words. Second, you must intend not to do the same sin ever again. Third, you need to keep repenting to Allah for sins in general for all humans commit sins always and be certain that He hears you. Allah Almighty says what means:
And your Lord says: “Call upon Me, I will answer you”... (Qur’an 40:60).
We are all humans and we all sin. That’s why we need help to prevent ourselves from sinning in the future.
Concerning forgiveness, Allah emphasizes His generosity and kindness in that He forgives whoever repents to Him from whatever evil he or she commits. The Qur’an says what means:
If anyone does evil or wrongs his own soul, but afterwards seeks God's forgiveness, he will find God Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful ( Qur’an 4:110).
So, whoever commits a sin, whether major or minor, “but afterwards seeks Allah’s forgiveness, he will find Allah Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful,” even if his sins were greater than the heavens, the earth, and the mountains.
Also Prophet Muhammad pbuih said: “No Muslim commits a sin and then performs ablution, prays two rak’ahs and begs Allah for forgiveness for that sin, but He forgives him.”
Whatever you do and then honestly and truly repent for, be sure that Allah will accept your repentance and forgive you, so you don’t need to wait till the day of Judgment to know whether you were forgiven or not. and Allah knows best.
Quote:No, not quite! I don't know what I'm saying exactly,
Oh really??????????? :D :D :D
Quote:If mankind's superior to Angels & Jinns, why are we so weak when it comes to temptation from Iblis (Shaytan)... a lower creature?
Haven’t you ever experience flue, or influenza? Do you know what is the cause of this virus? And do you know how many severe illness you may get by having influenza? And do you know that this virus might transfer to others?
Satan is even smaller and weaker than those germs who carry influenza virus and transmitted to other people, because he have no power at all over the believers “True Muslims”.
The Qur’an says:
Iblis (Devil) was correct in his assessment of them and they followed him, except for a group of believers. He had no authority over them except that We might test those who believe in the hereafter from those who are in doubt about it. Your Lord is The Preserver of all things. (Qur’an 34:21)
He has no authority over those who believe and put their trust in their Lord. He only has authority over those who take him as a friend and associate others with God. (Qur’an 16:100)
So for those who open the door for Satan, it will be exactly as those who open the window while outside temperature is zero, they will surely be infected with serious flue…
Of course Satan do bother the believers by whispering because of the deeds that they’ve committed, but true believer in such situation will participate in JIHAD with his ownself and fight our biggest enemy (i.e Satan).
However, no matter what Satan whispers to believers, he will not be able to distract them from God's guidance as long as they follow the path that God shows. God reminds the believers of the following against Satan:
If an evil impulse from Satan provokes you, seek refuge in God. He is All-Hearing, All-Seeing. As for those who have fear of God, when they are bothered by visitors from Satan, they remember and immediately see clearly. (Qur’an 7:201)
Alhamdulelah who made me Muslim. Alhamdulelah
Salam
Wael.
