Prohibited Names for Muslim children

(3) From the names forbidden for our sons and daughters particular to other religions, i.e.: Jews and the Christians, like: George, David, Michael, Joseph, Diana, Jaclyn etc., since we - the Muslims - have been forbidden to imitate them.

I don't see this as imitation of the non-Muslims.

Why on earth are you forbidden to imitate Christians? What's so evil about Blessed Mother Teresa, St Francis of Assisi, John Paul II, St Charbel, St Vincent de Paul, St Clare, etc?


Are Muslims allowed to name their sons Jesus considering He's a "prophet" in Islam?


I've been told by Muslims that "Mohammad" means "praised one", but from my understanding of Arabic - at least in my (Lebanese) dialect - Mohammad is the word used to describe one who is "baptized". Is there a connection?
