The Catholic position, correct me if I am wrong, is that Islam is more of a Christian [b]heresy[/b] than a different religion altogether.

How can any of us correct a Catholic, but this is really new to me. I never knew this. As far as I understand, Muslims to Nasara in general are non believers (I seek refuge to Allah fron non believing and I bear witenss that there is not Lord but Allah and MOhamed is His Messenger and devotee).
