I dont wear the hijab! am i bad?
#2

Quote:I know majority of girls who do wear the hijab, and do so much wrong stuff its unbelievable and shocking, (drinking, clubbing, smoking weed, boyfriends) just because a girl wears a hijab does not necassirily mean that she is a good person, and so innocent. You should only judge them if you get to know them and see what they are like.

Alhamdulilah most Sisters that I know are devout Muslimahs who fear none but Allah and who practise their Islam from inside out. I think you started this thred to make Hijabis look bad, which is quite insulting esp coming from a muslim. You have no right to expose their sins like this even if they did committ those sin you mentioned. Above all I think the obvious point that your trying to throw at us, is "you don't need to wear a hijab to be a good Muslim" which is completely false! The hijab is a command from Allah to all the believers, it is part of worship so if one doesn't wear it for whatever reason your denying one of Allahs command just because you feel like your not ready for it.

There are women who are being put in prisons in places like turkey and tunisia simply for wearing their hijab. In places like Palastine, some young girls are being harrassed and attacked and shot at by isrealy soldiers for their identity when their cross the streets coming from school. They can die, yet they continue with devotion because they know that the hijab is part of their islamic identity, even under such conditions where they can get killed and attacked. They don't try to hide! Yet we have some people who have all the freedom and still find excuses.

Quote:I myself, do not wear the hijab, i choose not to, does that make me all of a sudden, a bad muslim? I dress decently, and never show my body parts, i dont smoke, drink or do drugs. I read my namaaz when i can without fail. Ive never had a boyfriend,or been in a relationship, as i am against it. But when ppl who dont know me, see me they are so quick to judge me, and then when they do meet me, they say omg, i expected u to have a bf etc...... why?

See? You have bashed the covered women then you go back and tell us how you are such a great person, and your trying to tell us "see I am a better Muslim". Sorry but that does not make you look any better. In my opinion its a very narrow way of looking at human beings and fellow Muslims. There is absolutely no need to judge people, neither to point out people's mistakes/sins unnecessarly. Don't do it for anyone, just learn your religion for yourself and Insha'Allah you'll see that there is a great benefit for you in it.

Quote:I know a couple of girls, who did have bf's who decided to wear the hijab, etc, and after about 6 mnths they took it off. because they knew after that they wernt ready to wear it, because of all the responsibilities they had with it.

Still your pointing fingers at others subhanaAllah. Don't worry about what others do. Fulfill your duties to your lord. Allah will ask you about "you" your own nafs, not about anyone else. You'll be buried in your grave all alone, no one will come with you "except your deeds" Don't let anything hinder you from your duties to your lord as a Muslim. You don't know when you'll die. There are alot of misguided people out there, Allah will question them and us of what we used to do.

Quote:It matters on the type of person u are, and how u carry urself, hwo u talk to people and what u say to them ,

What should matter to us is only what Allah thinks of us. Allah doesn't care what we look like. Or what people think of us. Allah says in the quraan that he did not create the human of us and the jinn except that we worship him. Worship comes first and everything else is second.

Islam has two sources for guidance and rulings: first, the Qur'an, the revealed word of Allah and secondly, the Hadith or the traditions of the Prophet Muhammad (S) who was chosen by Allah to be the role model for mankind. The following is a Tradition of the Prophet:

"Ayesha reported that Asmaa the daughter of Abu Bakr came to the Messenger of Allah (S) while wearing thin clothing. He approached her and said: 'O Asmaa! When a girl reaches the menstrual age, it is not proper that anything should remain exposed except this and this. He pointed to the face and hands." (Abu Dawood)

We Muslims are not supposed to worship selectively, picking out whatever rules or rituals appeal to us and leaving the rest. Denying a basic Islamic rule or ritual is a serious sin.

Quote:Inshallah i will start to wear the hijab, but when im ready not because i feel i have to. Im not doing n e wrong, i havent committed any sins.....................

You sound upset, and your trying to explain yourself to us that your not doing anything wrong. This is a sign Sister that you know deep down inside of your heart that you want to wear it. I'm sorry if I was harsh with you. I'm only replying you out of love and care, so Please don't take any offense to my post. Take the good and ignore whatever else that is offensive InshaAllah.

I'm sorry also that you feel judged. No one has any right to measure your taqwa and imaan by your lack of Hijab. Allah knows whats in his slaves hearts we don't. Remind yourself that Allah SWT is the ultimate judge and he is the most just. You'll have to stand infront of him one day, so think of how you want to meet him. Don't worry about anything else and what people have to say. May Allah SWT guide towards the straight path ameen.
