Asalaamu alikum hefny,
I am sorry if I sounded angry at your post. I am not offended at all. I was just pointing out what is wrong in America in the way food is produced here. Every thing is done for money and not for the right reasons. We cant even eat cheese because they use rennat or pepsin or other haram enzymes. All this is done for is to make cheese faster so they can make more money. We have to go to Milwaukee or Chicago to find halal cheese. We were vegaterians for about 6 years before we reverted to Islam. At first we did not want to eat meat again. After finding out more from my Brothers in Islam about Halal meat, changed our mind. A lot of the Brothers here know a lot of farmers who take very good care of their animals, and help out our community by letting us slaughter at their farms. They help us skin, clean and cut the meat up for us. Alhumdulillah, they are very nice to us! Zabiah is the only wat to go! You know the meat is halal because you do it yourself! Insha Allah, we found another farmer who has chickens, lamb, and cows. I have heard he has a very nice farm with lots of animals for us and he really wants to help us. Insha Allah we will go next week to check out the farm. Animals raised they way they should be, not druged up or feed hormones and the like. He does not sell his animals to slaughter houses. He helps out the American community and Insha Allah our Ummah! Praise be to Allah!
