I am saying that many people say that because the universe is big then it must mean that there are aliens out there. I am just mentioning that Allah is All-Powerful and Thr Creator and thus can make the universe as expansive as He Wants as a sign to us.


"Is your point, that one of the signs of a creator is the sheer size of the Universe, and hence would use this argument against an Atheist?"


Yes. One of the signs that there is a Creator is the vast complexity of the universe and the balance that it maintains. Have I mentioned this to an antheist? Yes in greater detail and through such discourse have come to believe in The Creator. In fact we are told in the Qur'an to reflect on creation as a means of percieving The Creator. In fact this was the methodology used by our beloved Prophet Ibrahim.


"But if God can make all this, he could just as easily create life on any one of a billion other planets, if he wanted to."


I did not say that Allah couldn't if He Willed. He has Revealed to us that He Created jinn and mankind as the beings with will. So, those are the only beings who I will claim as having wills of their own.
