....Kill anyone "EXCEPT FOR A JUST CAUSE". Now the question is, who decides what cause is just? The gunman may have decided he was justified because of the statements made by the Pope. Or the terrorist feels justified by the preceived oppression from "the west".
Good question AlShamms, who does decide what cause is just?
As a human being we cannot decide what is just or unjust due to our limitations, biase, hatred or prejudices etc.
Someone who is the opposite of creation and is nothing like the creation has the right to decide what is just and that someone is Allah SWT. The one who created man, life, universe and everything beyond that.
Firstly, we do not know the real reason why this man killed the nun then we will know if it was just or not. For example, a just cause would be protecting ones life, property or honour as defined by Allah SWT. IF the man killed the nun due to the pope's speach then that is unjustified as the nun is innocent as defined by Allah SWT.
Secondly, the pope surely must have knew what trouble and outrage this would cause. However, this pope has had meetings behind closed doors with both Bush and Blair who use such language as the pope did.
The questions is, who writes the speeches for the pope, himself?
