If countries not giving freedom to their citizens has nothing to do with Islam than how come this problem is so prevelent in the Muslim world??
I can only think of 2 non-muslim countries like this. North Korea and Cuba.
No freedom? I guess that is how you define freedom. They have a constitution and they are allowed to leave the country when they wish? They may not have the freedoms awarded in some countries but freedom is subjective.
I the USA do I really have freedom?
I have to ask the government permission to do almost anything I wish to do. Can I build a shed on my property without permission?
Can I build the shelter appropriate for me and my income? NO I must follow zoning laws for the selfish so their property values do not decrease.
Can I hunt without permission and licensing? NO
Can I even fish with permission and licensing? NO
Can I cut someones hair as a business without a License and permission? NO
I cannot even cut someones hair with permission? I think you misunderstand freedom and that it has vanished from the USA!!
