is it islamicly taught that a muslim can become demon possessed? And if so, what is done to cast out the demon?

It is <b>not</b> only “Islamicly” that a person could be possessed by devil, even Christianity taught the same. In Christianity, a ceremony used to drive demons out of a person they have possessed. Jesus healed people tormented by evil spirits, casting them out with a word, and his followers later drove out demons “in his name.”


The Christian New Testament includes casting out devils among the miracles performed by Jesus. Because of this example, possession was part of the belief system of Christianity since its beginning, and exorcism is still a recognized practice of Catholicism, Eastern Orthodox and some Protestant sects.
