Quote:Bismillah:
Let me remind you that the term “HOLY WAR” not to be found ANYWHERE in the Arabic text of the Qur’an or the authentic Hadiths of Prophet Muhammad pbuh.
It is a misconception among both Muslims and Non Muslims that the word Jihad means Holy War which is absolutely wrong.
The Arabic word for Holy War is called as HARBUN MUQADDASAH, this word was never used by Allah in the Qur’an nor by His prophet in the authentic Hadiths.
The word used to describe WAR in the Qur’an and the authentic sayings of Prophet Muhammad pbuh is QITAL or FIGHTING, or JIHAD which means to strive or struggle in the way of Allah.
so if we apply chapter 103 to the concept of Jihad or fighting you will notice that:
a person will not go and fight in the way of Allah unless he 1- have faith
.
a person is doing Jihad in the way of Allah is simultaneously doing 2- righteous deeds

a person would not fight in the way of Allah unless he have 3- exhorted people to truth and called them to Islam.

a person would not do not fight in the way of Allah unless he have 4- exhorted people to patience.

If a person fulfill those 4 conditions and died while fighting in the way of Allah, then he will insha'Allah attain Salvation.
and Allah knows best.

Wael.
