Basic Questions Which I've Never Asked...
#3

Bismillah:

Quote:Many of you I am sure are familar with the Gospel of Jesus Christ as Christians believe it.

Honestly, am more familiar with the gospel according to Luke, according to Mathew, according to Mark and according to John. What we believe in is the gospel of Jesus (the Injeel). And this gospel not to be found within the pages of the Bible.

Quote:God, in his mercy and love for his creation, gave his only begotten Son to die and be atonment for sin on our behalf. (There is more to it than that of course...just a summary)

This is contrary to what is found in the Torah where God says: “...every man shall be put to death for his own sin" (Deut. 24:16) in other words, no one is going to die for the sin of other people.

When Jesus was approached by a man who asked what he could do to gain eternal life (salvation), Jesus told him to keep the Commandments (Mat. 19: 16,17); in other words, to obey God's Law, he didn’t tell him to believe in me that I would die for your sins and you will be save. NO he said keep the commandments. To a similar question put to him by a lawyer, as recorded in the gospel of Luke, Jesus told him to love God and his fellow man (Luke 10:25-28).

Quote:I also know that Muslims reject the Gospel.

We only reject those portions in the Bible that goes against the nature of God and His attributes. We also reject any interpolation and fabrication was made up for worldly gain., we also reject the absurdities that found in the Bible to be inspired by God or have anything to do with God.

Quote:What then is the Muslim "Gospel?"

The Qur’an is our guideline in this life, and the example of our Prophet Muhammad pbuh. As for the Gospel of Jesus, we don’t need it anymore because it was made to serve a particular group of people in a particular time period. God combined the teaching of all His scriptures in the Holy Qur’an and promised to preserve it from any change. so even you CC, need to follow the Qur'an. even if you dont accept Islam, you still need the Qur'an.

Quote:Where does a Muslim place their faith?

We place our fair in Allah , His messenger, And the light that was brought with him. The Qur’an and the Sunnah.

Quote:Do all Muslims go to heaven?

It was reported in Saheeh Muslim that Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allaah PBUH said: ‘As for the people of Hell, they are its inhabitants, and they neither live therein nor die. But there are people who will enter Hell because of their sins – or mistakes – so Allaah will cause them to die once, then when they become like coal, He will give permission for intercession (for them). They will be brought group by group to the rivers of Paradise. Then it will be said: “O people of Paradise! Pour water on them.” Then they will grow like seeds.

The scholars said: “What is meant by the people of Hell are its disbelievers inhabitants, who will never come out of it and never die at all.

Allaah says:

“But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allaah), for them will be the Fire of Hell. Neither will it have a complete killing effect on them so that they die, nor shall its torment be lightened for them. Thus do We requite every disbeliever!” [Faatir 35:36]

As for the sinners among those who believe in the Oneness of Allaah, those who have committed major sins, they will be punished in accordance with the degree of their sins for a period decreed by Allaah, then they will die a lesser death such that they no longer feel anything, for a period decreed by Allaah. Then they will be brought out dead, turned into coals and carried like luggage, and they will be thrown into the rivers of Paradise and the water of life will be poured over them. Then they will grow, like wheat at first, but quickly, like herbs. Then they will get stronger and be fully formed, and will be taken to their homes in Paradise.

And Allaah knows best.
