Thanks for such a thought provoking answer. It's no surprise that Mohammed was familiar with Jesus and the stories in the Gospels.
<b>"ALLAH is HE besides Whom there is none worthy of worship, the Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining. HE has sent down to thee the Book containing the truth and fulfilling that which precedes it; and HE has sent down the Torah and the Gospel before this, as a guidance to the people; and HE has sent down the Discrimination." -- Qur'an, Surah 3:3-4</b>
Obviously, I do believe that Jesus is the son of God. I also believe that he was crucified and resurected. We both agree that he acescended into heaven.
I don't know how Jesus' diciples could have continued to worship Jesus as God if Jesus was a prophet of Allah and taught that to his diciples. The Gospels and other early Christian writing are explicit that Jesus was the son of God. That Jesus was in fact God and that Jesus was crucified and conquered death. This is also what Paul taught in his letters to the early church(please help...I understand that Paul is described in the Quran as well).
