Assalaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,

Here is a hauntingly beautiful rendition of Ayatul_Kursi recited nice and slow with tajweed (the way the Prophet :saws2: recited).

Ayatul_Kursi_Baset_Tajweed_looped

When reciting the Quran you must always first say;

Aa_oo_thoo_bil_laa_he_minash_shay_tau_nir_ra_jeem.

Two vowels means stretch the letter In the above;

Aa as in 'Agh' - from the back of the throat . oo as in 'moon'. Laa as in 'air', tau like as in door. 'ra' - trilled r-raw. jeem as it sounds.

/////////////////////////////////

Here is my attempt to write it english. Where you see a letter repeated two five or six times it means that is how long you hold the note for. You'll pick it up as you listen to the audio...in sha allah.

AL-LAAhu laaaaaa^ 'ilaaha^ 'il-laa^ huwal hay-Yul Qayyoooooom.

Allâh! Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists.

laa^ ta` KHuzTH-hu sinahtu(UU) wa-laa^ nawwwwwwm

Neither slumber, nor sleep overtake Him.

lahuu maa^ fis-samaawaati wa- maa^ fil-a`rd.

To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth.

ma(N) thaal-lathee yashfa3U 3I(N)dahuuuuu(5) il-laa^ bi-ith nihi

Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission?

ya3lamu maa bayna aydeehim wa maa KHalfahum

He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter .

Wa laa yuHeeToona bi- shay i(M)min 3ilmiheeeee(5) 'il-laa bimaa shaaaaaa'a

And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills.

Wasi3A kuR-sey-yu hus-samaawaati wal ard.

His Kursî extends over the heavens and the earth,

wa laa ya- Uoo du-hu Hif-THu humaa

and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them.

wa huwal 3Aley-yul- 3ATHeeeeeem

And He is the Most High, the Most Great.
