So my understanding was correct, if u r looking for a simple publich opinion, not religious one, well I will only talk about Egypt. Myself I have family in the US who immigrated during the Nasser era. As Egytpians we fully understand their reasons for going away. Even now if somone gets a chance to go to the US, people dont really have anything against the person.


Yet as u may realize, opinions differ from one person to another.


For example, I had many chances to move to the US in my youth, i was never encouraged and always turned them down.
