How are Muslim immigrants viewed?
#3

Quote:Well, I can say that I didnt find much prejudice and hate for myself in New Zealdn, as its a good nation with much less racism than Australia, America and UK :)

I hate to say this, being an american, but I have witnessed first hand a great deal of prejudice against muslims in this country. In fact, there is general racism provolent towards all middle easterners - regardless to wether they are muslims or not. it is a sad thing to know about.

On the other hand, there are a lot of people here who mean well, and still have open arms to all who wish to come here. some of those people are working to repair the mind of this nation. Perhaps if there WERE more muslims here, and they had a greater voice, and could open their own hearts to those that persecute them, this process would be more effective. I am certain there are such muslim voices speaking, but the masses of people rarely stop raging long enough to hear what others have to say.

I am also curious about the same thing, though.
