Working in a mosque
#2

Bismillah

salam Arclight

as far as I understood your question is that if u have to go into a masjed, will u have to take off your shoes or wear an over shoe??

Well, as far as I understand from jurisprudence sources, that we as Muslims are allowed to pray in shoes, based on which there is a rule we are allowed to use during making ablution (washing before prayer). According to this rule, if for any reason one is unable to take off the shoes, one is allowed to wipe over it. Also I remember reading, and Allah knows best, that one is allowed to pray in shoes if one trusts its purity.

Thus, I think an over shoes would do, but remember i m not a scholar.

Here in Egypt we have this historical Masjed of Mohamed Ali which receives tourists. I ve seen them wear this over shoes....
