Before all this, and even most important is to make dua for this person constantly that Allah Opens his/her eyes for the truth and Grants him /her repentance.
naseeha not only in you country, this is every where and on every possible level. shaytan's main task, remember, is to deviate the son of Adam from the correct path. He takes every possible route to accomplish this task. In this aspect in particular, allow me to elaborate, some Muslims get decieved with the one who pracitces this and mistakenly takes them as wali. U know what I mean. They see them with special capabilities and become attracted to this type of uniqeness. In some cases, also people may teach each other some dua, but then mix it with other shirk quotations. Due to lack of knowledge, some do fall into this trap and carry on with using such false duas.
We need to be really cautious in what we say, do or read.
Insh aAllah may Allah Grant u success. Again just approach the issue kindly, indirectly, but try to cover all aspects. NO on is above the need to be reminded. Once u did your duty, u freed yourself in the Eyes of Allah and continue making dua for this person and all Muslims.

The horrible thing is that in my county there are alot of muslims who preach this.. and practise it too... they also make some non muslims believe that islam is about mysticism
