Penalty of converting to Christianity
#60

Quote:i have already proved to you from your own Bible that Jesus is not the savior and that GOD ALONE is our savior. So if you believe in him as your "PERSONAL" savior then im going to consider it as a "PERSONAL" matter, but that doesn’t have anything to do with what your Bible said.

<b>You may believe that you have proved it to me, and you may have rejected my response to your "proof"</b>

Quote:im sorry, are you Mormon?

<b>No, nor am I Jewish, therefore I don't consider Melchizedek to be Noah's son Shem. I am a Christian</b>

Quote:if Melchisedec was Jesus, then why the 'authors' of the Bible invented another name and attribute it to Jesus? why they just didnt call him Melchisedec all the way? to be honest with you, im not surprised with this kind of interpretation. in Christianity, the wine is called blood, the bread is called flesh, man is called divine, resurruction is called TEMPLE, and now Jesus is called Melchisedec. amazing.

Don, this is yet another very weak evidence that you have brought. Mormon!!! i've never seen any Christian who is using the Mormon authority to clarify something found in the Bible!!! this Church "The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints" have twisted the 'words of God' and came up with another Gospel called "The Book of Mormon ANOTHER TESTAMENT OF JESUS CHRIST" and almost ALL Christians denominations have rejected their words. believe me Don, you have no idea about those Mormons, they totally go agains the teaching of the Bible and i might start another thread to show you some examples. Insha'Allah.

<b>That is fine with me. I do not accept their beliefs, nor am I very worried about Melshisedec (regardless of how you spell it)</b>

Quote:Not only the Qur'an which said that, the Bible also said that every man shall be put to death FOR HIS OWN SINS. So why God changed his mind and allowed Jesus to die for our sins? And remember that was against Jesus’ will.

<b>I do not know why he decided to send His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. I am just thankful that he did </b>

Quote:And also, didn’t Jesus say <b>"And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."</b> so the condition of being forgiven by God is to forgive others and not by the death of Jesus. again this is what your Bible said in Mark 11. Also the same commandment was repeated in Luke 11.

<b>Yes he said that, before his death, but that does not negate what he was about to do. However those of us that have accepted Him as our Personal Saviour, do the best we can to do everything He urged us to do, not because they are necessary for our Salvation, but because He said we should do them</b>

Quote:as regarding to Muhammad pbuh that he <b>was not there </b> to tell us about what happened to Jesus pbuh, now i want you to tell me <b>who was there with Mary </b> when the Angel Gabriel visited her to announce the birth of her child Jesus pbuh? If you don’t believe of what Muhammad pbuh said regarding Jesus pbuh then why should you believe in what Mary said regarding the Angel Gabriel? No body was there in both occasions!!!

<b>When I get to Heaven, I will ask Luke who told him about Gabriel, but both Matthew and Isaiah said it would be a virgin birth.</b>
