Asalaamu alikum,


Birthdays have roots in pagan tradition and to this day you still can find groups of Christians who still dont celebrate them. I think the use of the word celebration implies parties and festivities, which is something different than simply giving the kids a little gift and saying thanks to Allah for blessing us with the life.


We thank Allah each new day hopefully for the life anyway, not just on milestones.
