Before we continue on this thread, in an effort to clear up the hadeeth posted by john I think in cooperation with member Anya or on his behalf not sure.


We need to be firm here. John, pls do provide the source i mean the link to the page from where u got those texts in exact.

this is the hadeeth regarding Uqba Ibn Abi Mu`eet


Narrated Abdullah, while the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam was prostrating with a number of Quraishi people around him, U`qba Ibn Abi M`ueet came with the intestines of a camel and threw it over the messenger’s back. He did not raise up his head, till his daughter Fatima came and removed the dirt off his back. She made supplication against one who perpetuated this act. Abdullah continued that the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam invoked upon Allah saying O Allah handle the group of Quraish including Abi Jahl Ibn Hisham, U`tba ibn Rabbea, Sheeba Ibn Rabeea, U`qba Ibn Abi Mu`eet, Umaya Ibn Khalaf or Ubay Bin Khalaf. Sho`ba Alshaak said I saw them all killed on the Day of Badr and dropped into a well, except that Umaya or Ubai’s limbs were cut off and thus were not dropped into the well.

As you can see, he was killed during the battle and not ordered to be killed regardless of the harm he made on the Messenger salla Allah a`lyehee wa sallam.


This is one thing non Muslims are not getting, the Messenger salla Allah a`lyehee wa sallam never took his own revenge for simply he never cared about the personal harm he used to encounter. That is why also we here as muslims are trying to follow his footsteps. We dont get upset or angry when we personally are harmed. It does not really matter or even take anything off our humanity. But we shall stand up and jump when Allah or the Messenger salla Allah a`lyehee wa sallam are harmed.


He never put his own personal position in place, but rather the call to Allah which is his duty is all what mattered.
