Peace to All
I was asked a question on an anti Islam forum regarding the fairness of why muslim men will have virgins in paradise while muslim women won't?, this is a tough question indeed. My attitude when answering is this, I collect as much info as I can then I go thourgh it for days then create a response from it, i.e. I use my mind to link many info as well add my own to it, i can't supply a link for most of my work because all these materials already on my laptop on word documents, so if you do not like this please put me on ignore and no harm done, but do not try to ridicule my work because I will not care, my work was done for the pleasue of Allah and that is what i care about, while as I stated I will not care if anyone comes with some negative comments regarding my work "Not regarding the content", however I reserve my right to respond still, also my answers to questions about Islam are very long because that is how I learnt from one of the great scholars "Mohammad Metwali Al Sharawi" may Allah bless his soul, I have all his books btw and I read his work since I was 20 years old "that is 20 years of reading his work", so what I learnt from him is, I can't leave any bit of info in something I want to classify as a good answer as well I have to base it mostely on the Quran because it is the only source of info in this world that is guaranteed to be uncorrupt as well it is not human rather divine as no human ever claimed to have written it, so if you do not like long comments and a lot of verses from the Quran, please put me on ignore as well, thanks to all, here is my answer that was composed by me for the above mentioned question as well I added my own logic in between the verses, and btw it was asked by someone who was attacking Islam and alhumdulellah he reverted to Islam after heatly debating it and christianity with me for months, he was a 24 years old american:
<b>The status of women in paradise is as follow and based on logic extracted from the Quran and the Hadith (Allah swt knows best)</b>
<b>Logic 1 : Allah is never unjust not even of the weight of an atom</b>
<b></b>
“Allah is never unjust not even of the weight of an atom: If there is any good (done), He doubleth it, and giveth from His own presence a great reward.”
<i>[The Quran ; 4:40]</i>
<b> </b>
-> Very clear what Allah is telling us about Himself, His rewards for the good deeds will be doubled and yet gives more Rewards in His presence, and sure He is never unjust not even of the weight of an atom.
<b>Logic 2 : It should be clear that Paradise is the abode of happiness; all its dwellers, males or females, will be showered with Allah’s blessings and favours.</b>
There is no discrimination in this regard between men and women. It is righteousness and good deeds that elevates one’s rank in Paradise and exalts his/her position. In more than one Quranic verse, Allah the All Knowing calls upon His servants to do their utmost in order to be favoured with Paradise, i.e. men will not be equal in their rewards between them as well women will nnot be equal in their rewards between them, this in effect means we can not compare the rewards between men and women, because we may see in paradise a woman that is in far better position than a man, yet both will be happy.
<b></b>
“And vie one with another for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a Paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth, prepared for those who ward off (evil).”
<i>[The Quran ; 3:133]</i>
<b> </b>
<b>Logic 3, Paradise is so Huge that anyone who enter it will be amazed with the new things we see every day and for eternity</b>
Looking again at the last verse <b>(shown again below)</b>, we see that Paradise is so huge and has too many unlimited new beautiful things that humans never saw before which will render sex a low priority in Paradise, because all humans know what sex already is, the difference in paradise is nothing more than amazing beauty and pureness:
<b></b>
“And vie one with another for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a Paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth, prepared for those who ward off (evil).”
<i>[The Quran ; 3:133]</i>
<b> </b>
-> Can you see how Allah described the width of the Paradise as big as the size of all the things around us and even bigger than as far as we can see which so far is 13 billion light years, and that is only for the width, how about its length then?. The point is this there will be numerous new things that we will keep discovering for eternity, believe me, we are dealing with a God who created us and created what we see around us just for the testing and sure there are many things around us and yet we are not able to see it yet, how about His rewards for His slaves who prospered and who warded off (evil)? It is unimaginable, so having sex will be nothing to race for in paradise as men do here on earth, sex on earth for men is more of a test than it is for women, why? Because they are different inside, This sex reward is only for men and only mentioned about 4 times in the Quran, the other paradise descriptions are a lot compared to the 4 times those virgins were mentioned, but you know why it is for men, because men and woman are different, emotionally and psychologically, not just in shape, otherwise if our interior structure is the same, we will be like homosexuals exactly with different looks, and consequently homosexuality should not be forbidden "logically speaking", Allah actually has explained this important issue that He made women and men unlike each other, let’s look at the verse:
<b>Logic 4: Men are not like Women and Women are not like Men</b>
<b></b>
“And when she was delivered she said: My Lord! Lo! I am delivered of a female – Allah knew best of what she was delivered - the male is not as the female; and lo! I have named her Mary, and lo! I crave Thy protection for her and for her offspring from Satan the outcast.”
<i>[The Quran ; 3:36]</i>
<b> </b>
-> The verse here is talking about virgin Mary’s birth, Her mother the wife of Imran wanted a boy to serve God, then when she delivered a baby girl, she said to Allah that she delivered a baby girl and she wanted a baby boy to be a servant to Allah, then she added that : <b>the male is not as the female</b>, obviously she knew that women can not do tasks that men can do and vise versa for sure, she thought that a woman can not be a servant of Allah, while Allah responded to her that He knows in advance the sex of the baby she will get or any baby anyone will have, however you still see that how Imran's wife wish was granted by making the Son of Mary ‘Jesus’ pbuh one of the greatest servants of Allah , and when I say one of the greatest prophets, I mean from Allah perspective, as the true believers should not differentiate between the prophets sent to humanity by Allah as the Quran adviced us in three different locations.
-> It is clear that men and woman are different but let’s discuss the difference in sex only. Well, Allah already told us so. He is allowing one male to marry up to 4 females but only if all the females are happy and it was for the care of orphans, and by just looking at this difference, we may say that if Allah's rule is applied correctly “all 4 wives are happy”, then no damage is done to anyone and no unjust is done to anyone, but I know for certain that with the human properties inserted into us by Allah, like jealousy for example, this condition will never happen i.e all women are happy will never be possible, in fact Allah told us so in the Quran and hence He ordered us to marry only ONE if we can not satisfy all criteria of polygamy in life, you see mates how Allah is testing us all the times.
<b>Logic 5: Men and Women are equal in entering paradise and yet they are 2 different beings and every one of them will be rewarded according to their good deeds and their humbling to Allah</b>
<b></b>
“For Muslim men and women,- for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for truthful men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in Charity, for men and women who fast (and deny themselves), for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in Allah's praise,- for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward.”
<i>[The Quran ; 33:35]</i>
<b></b>
-> The above verse is really beautiful, it lists the 10 most important descriptions of the true believers and yet it repeated with every single description <b>“men and women”</b> i.e. men and women is repeated ten times in this verse alone, this is how Allah is stressing that men and woman are equal in entering paradise according to their belief first then their good deeds second, for those great people Allah has prepared a great reward, you can sense that Allah is stressing the men is not like women regarding their physical and emotional natures, other wise Allah would say something like <b>“O People who……."</b> then list the 10 descriptions without repeating the words <b>"men and women"</b> 10 times in one verse.
-> This made me ask why not, Allah Law of polygamy is also allowed in the hereafter by Him? Or in another words what can make Him change it?. Well, we know that Allah told us He is never unjust, and I know for certain that all the bad emotions and psychological properties inserted in life will be removed in Paradise like jealousy, let’s look at the following 3 verses from 2 different locations:
<b>Logic 6: The bad properties we have in this testing life will be removed from the people who will prosper and enter Paradise, i.e. no jealousy, no fatigue, no hate etc…</b>
<b></b>
“And We shall remove from their hearts any ill-feelings ;- beneath them will be rivers flowing;- and they shall say: Praise be to Allah, who hath guided us to this (felicity): never could we have found guidance, had it not been for the guidance of Allah: indeed it was the truth, that the messengers of our Lord brought unto us." And they shall hear the cry: Behold! the garden before you! Ye have been made its inheritors, for your deeds (of righteousness).”
<i>[The Quran ; 7:43]</i>
<b> </b>
<b> </b>
(47) “And We shall remove from their hearts any rancour. (they will be) brothers (joyfully) facing each other on thrones (of dignity).”
(48) “There no sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave.”
<i>[The Quran ; 15:47-48]</i>
<b> </b>
-> As you can see, not just the ill-feelings will be removed from our hearts, but as well no sense of fatigue shall touch the people in paradise
-> In fact in another verse it says clearly that our eye sight strength will be to the max after death i.e. we will start seeing things that we can not see it yet due to the physical restrictions on us by Allah during this testing life, so If Allah who is the one that created the jealousy feelings as well the desire for sex, and He will remove jealousy from the people who enter paradise, there will be no reasonfor certain that the women in paradise will be jealouse when seeing their husbands sleeping with <b>“HOOR EL EIN“</b> “the beautiful virgins in paradise- promised for righteous men” because Jealousy will never exist in paradise, as well it is quite possible that the sexual desire will be altered between men and women i.e. it may not be the same as we see it in this testing life, the ignorant humans try to compare things they have never seen yet or known the full extent of it with things that is known A to Z. Well, we know that there will be no jealousy and we know by now that Paradise will have so much in it never seen beauty that we will worry less about sex, in this paragraph an important question must be raised: How we know that the man and his wife will both enter Paradise together?. Logically, we have the following possibilities:
1) None of them enters paradise
2) Only the man will prosper and his wife has gone to Hell
3) Only the woman will prosper and her husband has gone to Hell
4) Both will prosper and enter Paradise
For possibility 4, we have to note that both may differ in their rewards, because me and my wife can not be equally to the smallest details in the belief in Allah, I see her with more rewards as a believing mother who suffered with her babies during pregnancy and breast feeding “breast feeding was ordered to the women by Allah in the Quran to be done for two years if they can, I was lucky that I was breast fed for exactly 2 years”, this suffering by a believing mother I have nothing to do with it, I never suffered really other than lack of sleep because of the cry and yet the mother is the one who runs for her baby at any time, she must be rewarded with things that I will not be rewarded with, but most importantly we will differ in reward according to the difference in how humble me and her were in this life
-> Looking again at the above 4 possibilities, we need to worry not about possibility 1, and possibly 2 and 3 will be matched together “Paradise Match Show” just kiddin, well, I will not get into a silly argument of what will happen if the numbers unbalanced, However there is a simple answer to that, Allah can make any one happy and joyful enough to not to ever think about sex.
-> Let’s only concentrate on possibility 4, and sure I know the followings:
<b>Logic 7: “HOOR EL EIN" do not have freewill, and they do not enjoy paradise</b>
Those <b>“HOOR EL EIN”</b>, will not be enjoying Paradise like the people “the men and women” who prospered. The Quran is telling us that those <b>“HOOR EL EIN”</b> will always be confined to the pavilions, i.e. they do not go outside and enjoy Paradise with the men:
<b></b>
“Pure ones confined to the pavilions.”
<i>[The Quran ; 55:72]</i>
<b> </b>
-> In addition to that the prophet told us in many hadith that I believe in, : the wives who will prosper with their husbands and enter paradise they will be far superior in beauty and any other matter to those so called “HOOR EL EIN”, so I have to ask who will be silly enough to leave his far superior and more beautiful wife as well the amazing things that he will see with her “women are allowed to enjoy paradise like men” in the huge paradise and stay at the pavilions sleeping with the virgins who are not allowed to go out?.
<b>Logic 8: Paradise is not for men alone. It is prepared for both, righteous men and righteous women.</b>
All the joys and blessings of paradise are for both of them. Allah has mentioned in the Quran that He put both Adam and his wife Eve in paradise after creating them, and He told them to eat and enjoy everything (except the fruit of one tree). That was at the start of the creation, The Quran actually told us about the wives who will enter paradise with their husbands after the Judgment day, and sure any righteous member of their familles will join as well, like fathers, sons, and daughters, it is going to be a joyful family reunion for the people who are righteous:
<b></b>
“Gardens of perpetual bliss: they shall enter there, as well as the righteous among their fathers, their spouses, and their offspring”
<i>[The Quran ; 13: 23]</i>
<b> </b>
<b>Logic 9: There is unlimited new things in paradise that the righteous and their righteous wives will be occupied and in addition they will always have what they ask for</b>
This is very important to know and at the same time unimaginable to comprehend, the righteous people will have what they ask for <b>“men and women”</b>, this means no one will ever be UPSET:
<b></b>
(55)“(Indeed, the people of Paradise will be happily occupied.”
(56)”They and their wives shall be in shades, reclining on raised couches.”
(57) “There are for them fruits and there is for them all that they ask for”
<i>[The Quran ; 36: 55-57]</i>
<b> </b>
<b>Logic 10: Everyone who will enter Paradise will be made glad including the righteous husband and righteous wife</b>
<b></b>
(70)”Enter the Garden, you and your wives, you will be made glad.”
(71) “There will be brought round for them trays of gold and goblets, and therein is all that the souls desire and eyes find sweet and you will stay there forever.”
(72) ”This is the garden, which you are made to inherit because of what you used to do.”
<i>[The Quran ; 43:70-72]</i>
<b></b>
-> It is obvious that there will be infinite things to do in Paradise, There are many other places in the Quran where it is mentioned that men and women both will find their reward and none will be deprived.
<b>Logic 11: There is no doubt that reward in the Hereafter encompasses both men and women. This is based on the following Quranic verses</b>
<b></b>
” And their Lord hath accepted of them, and answered them: "Never will I suffer to be lost the work of any of you, be he male or female: Ye are members, one of another: Those who have left their homes, or been driven out there from, or suffered harm in My Cause, or fought and been slain,- verily, I will blot out from them their iniquities, and admit them into Gardens with rivers flowing beneath;- A reward from the presence of Allah, and from His presence is the best of rewards."”
<i>[The Quran ; 3:195]</i>
<b> </b>
<b></b>
“And whoever does righteous good deeds, being a male or a female, and is a true believer, such will enter Paradise, and <span style="text-decoration:underline;">not the least injustice will be done to them.</span><span style="text-decoration:underline;">”</span>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
</span><i><span style="text-decoration:underline;">[The Quran ; 4:124]</span></i>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
</span><b></b>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
</span>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
-> There is two notes in here: the verse is clear, righteous males and females will enter Paradise, the first note is the righteous people is not just to do good deeds, </span><b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">THEY MUST BE TRUE BELIEVERS</span></b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">, as seen from the verse, this will answer many people,who think that only doing good deeds is enough to prosper and they do not really care about who is the true God and even they careless to read His Messages, well they will be taken with many shocking surprises starting seconds just before death, good luck to everyone if you think it is only going to be luck.</span>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
-> The second note can you see how accurate the Quran is?, remember in the first verse I posted in this post </span><b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">verse 4:40</span></b><span style="text-decoration:underline;"> it said: </span><b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">”Allah is never unjust not even of the weight of an atom”</span></b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">, and here it said </span><b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">not the least injustice will be done to them”</span></b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">, I love the Quran, and this is how you test it</span>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
</span><b></b>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
”</span><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Whoever works righteousness</span><span style="text-decoration:underline;">, </span><span style="text-decoration:underline;">man or woman</span><span style="text-decoration:underline;">, </span><span style="text-decoration:underline;">and has Faith in Allah</span><span style="text-decoration:underline;">, verily, to him will We give a new Life, a life that is good and pure and </span><span style="text-decoration:underline;">We will bestow on such their reward according to the best of their actions</span><span style="text-decoration:underline;">”</span>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
</span><i><span style="text-decoration:underline;">[The Quran ; 16:97]</span></i>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
</span><b><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">
</b></span></span>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
</span>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
</span><b><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Conclusion
</b></span></span>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
1) It is also mentioned in the true Hadith that the women of this worldly life have superiority over Hoor El Ein due to the acts of worship and obedience that they performed in this world. Therefore, the believing women will enter Paradise just like the believing men. If a woman had a number of husbands, she, upon entering Paradise with them, would choose among them the one with the best character and behaviour</span>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
2) Paradise is the abode of the believers in the Hereafter. Allah has prepared for His believing servants, males and females, in Paradise indescribable bliss which no eye has seen, no ear has heard of, and that has never ever crossed the minds of people, to the extent that even the person who has the least blessings in Paradise will think that he is the most blessed one.</span>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
3) It is meant for those who want it, not for every single male. Yet every Muslim man and woman who is allowed to enter Paradise is given the opportunity to get whatever he or she wants as clearly stated in the Quran and many true Hadiths of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). This means that those women who don’t want their husbands to have more could be granted this wish and desire. At the same time if the husbands of those women want to have more than them Allah is great and can satisfy each of them in the way He, the Almighty, wants. </span>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
4) Therefore, a woman should not be frustrated for a privilege of polygamy offered to men. This is not, for sure, at the expense of woman. Paradise is meant for both men and women, both of them are equally entitled to get what they wish for. </span>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
5) Certainly, there would be no clashes in their wishes, if any, the Almighty knows how to please each of them. Having said that, I shall inform you that the existing setup of humans in terms of desire, would be changed on the day of Judgment as I explained with supporting verses from the Quran. In other words, both men and women would not be allowed to enter Paradise in their existing physical makeup. They will be in a better and greater form as stated by the Quran and as well the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Both of them would enjoy living together and having whatever they wish and like. </span>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
6) Allah mentions the Hoor El Ein because in most cases men pursue women and not vice versa. As for women, Allah Almighty may marry them to any of the believers in Paradise, if they did not get married during worldly life, or He may compensate them by making them feel content with their position. It is also said that Allah may grant women some kind of beauty with which they will feel that they are better than the Hoor El Ein and that they are their mistress, so they will not love anyone other than their own husbands nor will they feel jealous of the Hoor El Ein.”, but if a male is allowed in life to marry more than one with conditions, why not to marry more than one in Paradise without conditions if he is righteous?, and the same for the woman, if she was only allowed to marry only one man in life, what is the wisdom of allowing her to get done by many men in paradise? If a Muslim woman ever thinks that what she deserves then I have to tell you this Muslim woman will never see Paradise</span>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;">
7) Finally, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) describes Paradise as a place where there are many things which no eyes have ever seen, no ears have ever heard before and no heart has ever felt. Let us pray the Almighty to grant us this great and wonderful place. Let us work harder and harder to be in this place. It is only through our full submission to the will and the orders of Allah that we will one day be granted this place. The life of women in Paradise will be as pleasant and happy as the life of men. Allah is not partial to any gender. He created both of them and He will take care of both of them according to their needs and desires. I remind you to work harder “male or female” to achieve the Paradise and then, inshaAllah, we will find there what will satisfy all of us fully.</span>
