Bismillah
as salam alykom
Mash a Allah this thread is very informative, thought to bring it back to life:
Insh a Allah I will post the Ayahs that support the hadeeth that my brother Dan posted above indicating the difference between good believers and non believers during the stupors of death:
"And who can be more unjust than he who invents a lie against Allah, or says: "I have received inspiration," whereas he is not inspired in anything; and who says, "I will reveal the like of what Allah has revealed." And if you could but see when the wrong-doers are in the agonies of death, while the angels are stretching forth their hands (saying): "Deliver your souls! This day you shall be recompensed with the torment of degradation because of what you used to utter against Allah other than the truth. And you used to reject His Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) with disrespect!" (Quran 6:93)
Versus:
Then, if he (the dying person) be of the Muqarrabun (those brought near to Allah),* (There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise).
" (Quran 56:88)
Insh a Allah I will try and post more Ayahs on the same topic
