Also I do understand what you want to say every time you try to explain about the Quran. But Radiyah again many may take such comment as no one can truly understand Quran unless they know arabic as making it impossible for non Arabic speakers to approach the read. Mash a Allah our raised Muslims in Malasya and Indonasia do read it and feel it. All those who reverted, for example Garry Miller, actually came to Islam after reading it.
Although Allah Revealed for every one to read. Not only Muslims. It is a book of challenge that all levels of intellect may understand. Actually this is the miracle. That the uneducated listen to it, understands it, the university graduate does read and understand more, and so on.

Sister M, Jazaky Allah khayr, but really I did not mean by my saying that they will not understand it totally, or it does not have en effect at all, of course it will have effect and it will keep on having effect until the end of time,but as u see how the word You here got reepi stressing that it is adressing the jews, and how scholars like palazzi is using the english language to distort the true meaning. so what I am talking about is the arabic structure and grammar, and I am sure u know that, and that is what Tajweed and tafseer scholars stress on, that a word misplaced might change the whole meaning or even The harakat on these words. I have read one article of an anti islamists and anti relegion also, attacking The Quran and Sunna by saying that we stress on the beauty of arabic language and they have a verse in the quran that is blunt ad scientifically wrong which is:

Until, when he reached the setting place of the sun, he found it setting in a spring of black muddy (or hot) water. And he found near it a people. We (Allâh) said (by inspiration): "O Dhul-Qarnain! Either you punish them, or treat them with kindness."
(Al-Kahf 18:86)


He looked at the underlined as non scientific and ignorant, and said if the sun sinks in the water then the earth will explode and burn since long time ago, and that Muhammad(PBUH) when he wrote this did not know that The sun was a ball of fire and just saw it as a shiny star. So here the sentence of course does not mean that matrialistic meaning he mistook it for, on the contrary this verse has a very precise and beautiful description of the situation, first it shows the beauty of the language by using expressive rhetoric, which means Allah is Describing exactly how the sun looked like at this time when it was setting, aand of course it did not really mean what that athiest explained as truly sinking in the water [img]style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif[/img] , and also the kind of land he reached and the description of the soil, that there were spring of black muddy hot water, some islamic scholars assumed that this land is in north america where there are geysers, and that in itself is proof of Prophet Muhammad prophethood, for how could he know what time Tho Al-Qarnayn reached that land and how it looked like because such muddy geysers are not found in the arabian penninsula, of course none told him but Allah (SWT), so as u see it is such verses that are misinterpreted. But we as arabs will know what it means the moment we read it.





That is what I am trying to say, I hope now u know what I mean, and I hope ones like reepi will try to accept what we are explaining to him if he is serious in learning. and u know really as u told him he keeps stressing that the Quran says that and this about christians and jews then we are saved, which means he really is taking The Quran seriously and accepting it as The true word of Allah:), may Allah enlighten his heart and the hearts of all those who are looking for the truth.
